This violin is based off of Guarneri Del Gesu's 1743 "Il Cannone" violin played by Paganini. This violin was built by hand in Vancouver WA in 2024 by Zachary Sears. This violin feature premium European tonewoods with very high grade spruce for the top which has some nice light bear claw figure in the top. It is very evenly grained. The back is a one piece premium grade European maple back with a lot of beautiful flame. It's setup with premium rosewood fittings with gold trim, as well as a StradPet titanium fine tuner and titanium tailgut. The finish is a very high grade oil finish with beautiful layered coloring evident through the ground coats to the final polish. This violin is the first violin built by Zachary Sears.
Tonally this violin is extremely resonant, and very very powerful, yet it still has a sweetness not common in new instruments. It rings for a long time after you finish playing the note. It's setup to be exceptionally easy to play and it's very easy to pull a huge sound that fills up the room.
