Second Sunday Session,

Join us at Kennedy Violins for our monthly Irish session!

This free event is open to all abilities and instruments.

Come out to learn some new tunes and meet fellow musicians!

It's a great way to brush up on playing skills in a fun environment.

Next event: October 14th, November 11th

Irish Fiddle Group Class!

Join us on October 3, 2018 at 7:30pm for the 8 week session.
You can enroll in the entire session or drop in each week, but you're not going to want to miss out on all the fun!

Each week students will learn a new tune and new patterns to recognize when learning Irish tunes.

And yes, we will learn all the tunes by ear!

This is an exciting opportunity to learn music in a new way. Learning music by ear exercises a different part of your brain that isn't utilized when learning from written music, and I am excited to get a brain work out together! During the session there will be opportunities to participate in local Irish sessions and attend Celtic concerts. These events and more can be found in your class syllabus handed out on the first day of class.

A few important bits of information:

This class is for musicians who have been playing for at least one year.

Any instrument is welcome to participate.

The cost is $100 for the whole 8 week session, or $15 to drop in.

Each class is an hour long from 7:30-8:30pm on Wednesdays.

Each week you will receive an email with a video link to the tune we learned in class for easy practice at home.

This is an easy going class. You are going to have fun, work out your brain, and learn some exciting music!

NW Quartet Fest

The NW Quartet Fest is a non-profit event aimed at celebrating NW small group ensembles. Musicians of all ages, genres, and instrumentations are invited to apply to be a part of this exciting event. Each selected ensemble will be given a 20 minute performance slot. Applications are due by October 20th, and selections will be made by October 31st.

100% of ticket proceeds goes straight to the local musicians, and raising money for local school music programs. Kennedy Violins will match the ticket funds in instrument donations, giving away much needed instruments to local schools in need.

Returning for it's second year, Kennedy Violins is happy to host the NW Quartet Fest! If you are interested in participating as a performer in this years' Quartet fest, please reach out!

Immerse yourself in the intimate sounds of quartet music! From classical to Irish to pop to jazz, the NW Quartet Fest celebrates music of all genres performed in a small group setting. The tradition of quartet music was born in the parlors of hosted homes, bringing people in the community together to share and enjoy the music of their time. At The NW Quartet Fest take a moment to dance among the reverberating wooden instruments, and sip on the sweet taste of local quartet sounds!

The all ages fun will feature exciting local music all day, paint your own violin to take home, instrument petting zoo, free BBQ, and a raffle for a brand new violin!

All ages, genres, and instruments are welcome to apply!
