This circa 1870 "Glass" fine violin by August Friedrich Glass of Klingenthal has a good, warm tone. Stamped “GLASS” on the outside of upper back, it is finished in a very dark color with few lightened areas on table and back. This violin has very precise “f” holes and scroll.
