Vicenzo Trusiano Panormo Fect. Anno 1726 Model Violin – Late 19th Century | Powerful, Elegant, Professionally Restored

This beautifully crafted violin bears a label reading Vicenzo Trusiano Panormo Fect. Anno 1726, with a later repair label from John Oliver Chapin, San Francisco, Cal. 1964. While not made in 1726, this instrument is likely a fine late-19th-century tribute to Panormo’s distinctive style, featuring full arching and elegant, refined corners.

The violin is in excellent condition, boasting a powerful, mature sound that will easily satisfy professional players. Its tonal complexity is supported by a recent setup with Warchal “Amber” Beast Strings, enhancing its loud projection and rich tonal palette.

Features:

  • Two-piece flamed maple back with deep, consistent figure and three ebony pins

  • Even-grain spruce top with medium-width grain

  • Expert scroll graft indicating thoughtful restoration and preservation

  • Boxwood fittings paired with a rosewood chinrest for classic aesthetic contrast

  • Golden ground under a warm light brown varnish that highlights the aged tonewoods

  • Elegant full arching and precisely shaped corners

This violin not only looks the part but delivers serious power and projection—ideal for soloists, orchestral players, or advanced students looking for their lifetime instrument. Instruments of this caliber and condition rarely come available at this price point, and we’re proud to offer it to our customers.
