Unlabelled Japanese violin from the early 20th century. The violin is exquisite shape and is really well made. It's a great representation of early Japanese violin making. It has rosewood fittings, a moderately flamed two piece maple back, fine grained spruce top. This would definitely be of interest for violin collectors out there interested in Japanese violins from this period.
The sound of this violin is quite projective, but has a bit more of a brighter tone quality to it. While it seems to be full still in the low register this violin really just wants to make a very clear and brilliant sound. It's well setup and in fantastic condition.
