This Josef Guarnerius violin copy, probably dating from the late 19th century, exhibits traditional arching. It is equipped with ebony pegs, tailpiece and a dark rosewood chinrest. The two-piece maple back is well flamed and shows minimal signs of wear. The spruce top has evenly spaced, medium-width grains and a stable, well-repaired F-hole crack.
The violin delivers a broad sound, with the lower registers producing a warm tone reminiscent of a viola. It is highly responsive and warm, making it perfect for an advanced player seeking an instrument for college studies.
