Love the deep rich finish of this instrument. My daughter loves it too. Even her instructor was very impressed with the sound and when they play together I can barely tell the difference between the sound of the two instruments. She is looking forward to getting another one soon.

Antonio Giuliani Etude Violin Outfit
This is the one that started our Kennedy Violins journey! Our daughter has excelled above and beyond with their violins and the Antonio Giuliani Etude far surpassed our expectations for a beginner. She absolutely loved it and used it for 2 years (2021-2023) before we upgraded at the 3/4 size to a different violin. See our review of the Louis Carpini G2 outfit for the next level we picked as an advancing musician.
It was a fantastic violin for the time that we had it! Nothing to complain about all around.

We love Kennedy Violins! This is our 3rd violin we've purchased from Kennedy. It sounds beautiful! Our violin teacher is impressed with the sound quality from all 3 of our violins (1/4, 1/2 and 4/4 sizes). Plus the customer service is amazing. My daughter loves playing on the new violin. We upgraded to the better strings. It sounds great!

Top natch packaging, everything looked great when it arrived. All parts are in.
I will do business with K V again. Their customer service is responsive and honorable. I will do the trade-in program once my child needs a bigger size.

Very nice violin. well made ,fine grain wood. Beautiful full range output. Listened to demonstration video to judge the sound and it was just what I was looking for. The violin setup was just perfect, very easy to play. They know what they're doing. Satisfied customer.

I purchased the CLEARANCE Antonio Giuliani Etude Student Violin Outfit for my 7 year old. She is very excited to have her own violin and to start private lessons. This past year she took violin at school but with so many students it was a bit distracting and chaotic. I really loved all the informative videos Kennedy provided so you could really hear how each instrument sounded. That really helped in deciding which to buy. The sound and color of this violin is beautiful. If there is any kind of issue being a clearance violin we can’t spot it. I am so pleased with the quality and the fast service that I am pretty sure we will be getting another Kennedy when she grows out of this one. Highly recommend!

For clearance I didn't notice anything amiss.

For its price, this violin produced an excellent sound quality that has brought a joyful and pleasurable experience to my everyday practice. I would highly recommend it to fellow who are searching for an affordable yet good-quality violin.

We got the full-size for our 8 year old daughter and it's just right! So impressed by the sound of this violin. She had been using a very inexpensive Amazon one for about 4 years before this. It was so scratchy sounding and easily went out of tune but she did her best on it. We're so happy now with this Etude - it has been a breath of fresh air! Stays in tune well and sounds beautiful! Excellent violin and excellent price! It was neat to see the video previews of it being played before we made our purchase. She does mostly Irish music so we were happy to see the violin sounded good with both classical and fiddle music. I'm so glad I researched and found out about your company!

Great violin and great service!
I'm so pleased with the service I received from Kennedy Violins. They reply promptly to emails and are so willing to help whenever necessary. As for the violin, I quit after high school because I thought I was a horrid player, but it turns out my violin was kind of rubbish! This instrument has such a beautiful tone and is so much easier to play. Most of all it makes me feel better about myself [still need to practice though!!]. Really well-made and came packaged well. The case is sturdy but lightweight- I definitely feel good about traveling with it. I also had a problem with the bow out of the box and they were very quick to offer me a replacement.
The only thing I don't love about the outfit is the shoulder rest - it's comfortable but the grip feet aren't collapsible so I end up having to remove them each time I put them in the case. But that's not that big a deal, I still have my old one to use!
Overall, I'm so happy with the service received and the quality of the instrument. Great shop, great staff, and great instrument! Thank you Kennedy Violins!

Extremely impressed!
My 7-year old was ecstatic to see the violin delivered and even more so when we unboxed the outfit. Beautiful 1/2 size Antonio Giuliani Etude Clearance Violin. I was extremely impressed by the obvious care that was taken to set up the violin prior to shipping. Minimal tuning was needed and the quality of the instrument and strings used was clear upon applying the bow. Rounding out the outfit were the accessories and case provided; all high quality pieces that complete the professional looking ensemble. Again, the integrity of the people working for Kennedy Violins shines through the products that are sent out of their facility and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a stringed instrument. Thank you!

You've got to be a darn good violin student to outgrow this Etude...
I've been playing this violin every day for 2 1/2 months now, and it is starting to open up and sound more robust. I've been using a DampIt and keeping it hydrated (winter is dry in here), and the violin looks and sounds more beautiful over time the more it resonates. I haven't had any real trouble with tuning, and I am really glad I purchased this violin to study and play violin. I didn't realize this before, but the hand rubbed oil type of finish doesn't seem to normally appear on most beginner instruments, and I believe that sets this particular violin ahead of others in its price class, especially when you factor in the luthier care built into the cost of entry for this Giuliani Etude violin. The best part of all is that Kennedy is only a phone call away and that I know I can always count on them to assist me should any issues arise. This violin keeps getting better, so, although it's classed as a decent beginning violin for the discerning student, I think it's comfortably going be my primary violin for a few years through intermediate level at least. I'm on my second bow already, and I'll probably have more upgrades before I'll need to change to a higher level violin. I will need to be a good player to outgrow the Etude, and IMHO, that won't happen only playing up through third position. (I used to play, that's how I got so far in 2.5 months).

Great Value Violin Outfit.
I previously owned a decent violin that was lost, and it has been some time now since I was an adult novice, so I had to start over. On a tight budget, I purchased this outfit. In the beginner price category of non-VSO's, the Etude looks classy for its price, has a decent bow, strings, great case, a good shoulder rest, and even a great clip-on tuner. Very importantly, it has a great setup with its well cut Aubert bridge, tune-able tailpiece, and ebony fittings. The end result is a violin that allows you to just play if you know how, it sounds good, and it doesn't fight you. Double stops are easy in the sweet spot between the bridge and fingerboard. The bow has a good feel, and the supplied rosin is 5*. It takes some time for the strings to stretch and settle in, but tuning is not that bad with this one, and using the clip-on chromatic tuner with the fine tuners on the tailpiece make it easier for the novice to get the open string tuning dialed in. Nice tone playing softly or loud, and doesn't give the impression of being a one trick pony in the tone department. You can learn how to play on this one without impediment, and if you get good at it and upgrade to an intermediate, you'll probably still want to keep this one as a backup. Considering the overall cost of this outfit, and the quality of the plethora of great accessories, this outfit is an amazing value. The entire crew at KV is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service, and have my utmost respect.
