This Antonio Curatoli violin built in 1919, is a Strad model with a nicely flamed 2 piece maple back and nice even medium grain spruce top. The violin is a trade violin from Germany with quality craftsmanship evident in its making from the well inlaid purfling, nice fluting around the f-holes, and a well carved scroll. This violin has a mature sound that is ready to wake back up after having someone play on it consistently again. The finish is originally antiqued but in also has some natural wear over the years. This would be a great choice for an advanced player looking for a rich sounding older violin.
