This is a beautiful violin, both looks and sound.
Deep brown color and a deep resonating voice.
It will be fun to play at church when I get really good!
I can’t wait to show it off!

Absolutely beautiful violin! I'm a newbie to the violin but I wanted a great instrument to start off with that I wouldn't outgrow anytime soon. The folks at Kennedy Violins were super helpful when it come to helping me decide on which would be the right violin for me. Very knowledgeable staff, friendly and helpful. The violin is a beauty! Dark color with beautiful flame on the back and sides. I'm blown away at the great craftsmanship and feel of this instrument. I wish I could play to give you a review on that, but I'm just beginning my violin journey...lol. Thanks Kennedy Violins, highly recommend you folks.

I've had this violin now for 3 years and also own 2 others from Kennedy Violins. Each has its own beautiful tone. This is so versatile. You can play classical, jazz, fiddle jigs, any type of music sounds wonderful on it. Some violins are better at one thing than another however this one can cover it all. The tone is smooth, rich, deep, and the violin projects a bit louder than some others. Plus , its a beauty to look it.

Wow!
I am new to playing and bought an inexpensive bow on Amazon. Not a VSO, but something passable to start. The description of the tone for the AG sounded like what I wanted to hear so I bought this beautiful violin. It is 3x more powerful but with a sweet sound. Now I know what a violin should sound like. Playable right out of the box. The tuning pegs are right and make adjustments easy. I opted for 4 micro tuners that I may or may not remove one day. The bow feels balanced and I can just play without thinking about it. It is exactly what I envisiones

Rich and Mellow Sound
I was going to write a review for this violin years ago when I had first bought the violin but left it off until now. I traveled from Oregon to Washington to buy myself one and first impression of the shop was terrific. Katie was amazing and gave off a really fun and happy vibe. She made the process of picking out the violins and buying the violin an exciting experience overall. She was very accommodating with how I wanted to test the violin and answered a lot of the questions I had thoroughly.
The violin itself sounded amazing even my teacher complimented on the sound and build of the instrument itself. Every time I played it would never cease to amaze me how good it sounded. The case, bow(Advanced Giuliani back then), and rosin that came with it were also very quality stuff you could rarely find anywhere else in the United States. Thank you for everything and giving me a very good experience! Will be buying myself a higher end model in the near future.

Great Purchase
Two years ago I purchased an Anton Gerard violin outfit and I have had no regrets on any part of my purchase. The beautiful violin arrived very well packed the way Kennedy Violins always ship their violins. Everything arrived unharmed after going through the rigors of UPS from Washington to Kentucky. Unfortunately, (by Kennedy standards) the beautiful Anton Gerard violin turned into a beautiful Anton Gerard fiddle. I was warned that might happen. What the heck, Kentucky is the home of Bill Monroe and Bluegrass music and the state has lots of banjos, bass fiddles, Martin D28 guitars, and yes, lots of fiddles. So I became a fiddler and I’m very happy playing my Anton Gerard. By nature, the Anton Gerard has a bit darker deeper tone than a conventional Bluegrass fiddle but I prefer the Anton Gerard tone. The instrument has lived a fairly rugged life and still looks like new except for a few cosmetic issues that just come from playing. The Giuliani bow is also in great shape. These bows are very nicely constructed and well balanced.
The Kennedy staff worked with me to select the right instrument and I am really appreciative of their efforts. I was concerned about making such a special purchase sight unseen but they picked out a beautiful fiddle for me and I’ve always loved it. It’s just a very nice handmade, well-constructed, violin (fiddle) that will last a lifetime. Thanks to all at Kennedy.

Amazing violin!
I purchased this violin while in Washington visiting family. I started violin lessons three years ago, and I wanted to finally upgrade my student violin to something more advanced. I had visited about five different violin stores to test several before coming to Kennedy Violin, but as soon as I saw and played this violin, I knew this was THE ONE. I've now happily had this violin for about two months. My tutor was also very impressed with the quality and price and she's played for about thirteen years. For the price, the quality of the violin and case are really amazing. I love the full one piece back on this violin and deep chocolate color. It's gorgeous, and the staff who assisted me at the store were amazing as well. I could not be happier with my purchase and experience from Kennedy Violin. Thank you from all the way in Alabama!

Anton Gerard violin outfit
I just received my Anton Gerard a few days ago and was very favorably impressed with all of the aspects of my purchase. The violin arrivedin perfect condition with the included packaging and the the optional advanced Portland case to which I upgraded. Upon opening the packaging and case I was immediately struck by the beauty of the Anton Gerard. It lived up to the description on your site. It is really quite an impressive violin. Of course aesthetics are noteworthy but actual performance is what it’s all about. I had requested attention be given during setup to the bridge to insure playability. As an advanced beginner I didn’t want it harder to play than it should be. It is a dream to play. The bridge was set up and adjusted correctly. Also I wanted attention paid to the tuning peg installation and operation. So far it is Isis working smoothly and without problems. So I highly recommend the Anton Gerard and Kennedy Violins. An excellent violin provided and setup and delivered on a timely manner. I did noticed the bow provided was not the advanced Giuliani bow and called customer service at Kennedy. I was received professional service and an advanced bow replacement was sent out to me which I received 2 days later and sent incorrect bow back in postage paid mailer. More outstanding service from Kennedy Violins. Highly recommended.
