This 15" D Z Strad Model 400 viola is in excellent condition, having been meticulously cared for since its creation. Handcrafted by award-winning luthiers, this instrument is made from naturally air-dried and aged tonewood, featuring a solid, tight-grained hand-carved spruce top and exquisitely flamed maple back, ribs, neck, and scroll. The viola is lightly antiqued with hand-applied oil varnish, giving it the look and feel of a vintage instrument. It's set up with boxwood heart-shaped pegs, tailpiece, chinrest, and end button, and is currently strung with D'Addario Helicore strings.
This viola produces a rich, warm tone that is even across all registers, making it an ideal choice for advanced students seeking a step-up instrument.
