This violin by luthier Hristo Nikolov from 2013 is a great example of European craftsmanship. Copied from an Antonio Stradivarius 1715 violin, this instrument features exceptionally detailed craftsmanship, from perfect bee sting corners in the purfling to an immaculately graduated top. The result is a beautiful violin with a clear and even sound throughout all registers. Despite being built in 2013, this violin has barely been played on and will continue to develop a richer, deeper sound over many years.
This violin is currently set up with Evah Pirazzi strings and matched boxwood fittings. The wood choice is top-notch, with a high-grade, one-piece maple back and very old, even-grained spruce on the top. This violin would suit the needs of a young soloist, professional musician, or advanced student who wants to get a great deal on a European-made instrument crafted by an individual luthier.
