A fantastic Guarneri model David Yale violin which features a beautifully aged, well-flamed maple back and a tight-grained spruce top, this violin has a warm, lush sound that is sure to speak to any violin player. We've paired it to a hand-picked, nickel-mounted pernambuco bow from L'Archet Brasil which pulls an extra warm sound from the instrument. We've strung the violin with Pirastro Obligato strings to highlight its warm, projecting tone. This is a violin that would be exceptionally well-suited to chamber music, recording, or orchestral performance.
This violin features beautiful ebony fittings with boxwood trim, including heart-shaped pegs and a French style tailpiece, as well as a Guarneri style chinrest. The workmanship and tone of this violin are fantastic, of a quality usually seen only in instruments sold at a much higher price. This violin is going to make a great instrument for an advanced or professional violinist as its sound continues to open up over the years.
